Issue

1. Needed to convert existing forecasting data into a new corporate reporting format
2. Multiple conversions were necessary due to last minute changes.

• Developed an excel based VBA program that allowed account conversion in 15 minutes or less
• Included the ability for a lower level employee to change or update the lookup tables with complete error checking
• Provided complete documentation on how to run the program and how to analyze and correct errors in the data
• Project completed on time and under budget

Issue #1

1. Needed forecasting tools for presentation to the board
2. At peak company had over 300 employees in five locations

• Provided basic forecast for the board in less than a week using excel
• Later developed sophisticated forecasting system that interlinked ten functional areas with over 30 departments with a combined budget of 4 million a month
• Constructed a method to link all headcount and capital assets purchases to company wide milestones. These expenses would be pulled forward or pushed back using these milestones in a similar way as Hyperion Pillar
• Board in recognition of my accomplishments awarded me five thousand additional options

1. Project manager for implementation of J. D. Edwards operations and cost accounting systems

   Results:
   

   • Worked with consultant and effected operations departments laid out needs and wants for the inventory, purchasing, manufacturing and cost accounting systems
   • Managed the installation, training and configuration of all operations, manufacturing accounting and cost accounting systems

Issue #1

1. Replace departed analysis and develop procedures

• Working with new group controller developed monthly close procedures to meet Cisco's 3-day close
• Wrote procedures for both the close and how to use Oracle General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems

1. Monthly P.O. analysis took a day to a day and a half to complete each month Result:
   
   • Used VBA to parse and reformat an Oracle PO report
   • Using the reformatted report summarized all outstanding PO's and placed summary and analysis on single page
   • Developed sophisticated formulas to increase the functionality of the information provided using the existing input data
   • Upon completion the analysis was completed each month in less than 45 minutes
